Bowler Selected for UK Government Export Campaign

Bowler Selected for UK Government Export Campaign

12 Jul 2018

We’re delighted to have been selected to feature in the UK Government’s Department for International Trade (DIT) ‘Exporting is GREAT’ campaign.

This campaign showcases 30+ UK small and medium sized businesses from a range of sectors and regions, with the aim to promote British exports and help shape the UK’s trading future by inspiring and supporting more UK companies to take their first steps towards selling overseas and, capitalise on sales opportunities across the world.

Bowler was selected to be part of the campaign following the completion of a Government funded research and development project to design and manufacture an innovative new rolling chassis – Bowler’s patented Cross Sector Platform (CSP) – which has generated interest from domestic and overseas markets.

A DIT spokesperson said:

“The Department for International Trade is committed to promoting British trade and investment across the world and building the global appetite for British goods and services. Exporting is GREAT is the government campaign to inspire and support more UK companies to take their first steps towards selling overseas and help existing exporters grow further. UK companies are set to benefit from this five year programme presenting real-time export opportunities that businesses can apply for online. This is part of a move to get 100,000 additional companies exporting by 2020. At, UK businesses can apply for real-time opportunities, access expert advice, trade services, training and events to assist at every step on their exporting journey, from initial interest to selling in market.”

David Black, General Manager at Bowler commented:

“Exporting has always been of importance to Bowler since the business was founded over thirty years ago, but the demand for our products and services in more recent years has meant we have had to really gear up for trading across international borders. Exports now account for almost 50% of our current sales and we expect that to increase in the years to come. Exporting is not always an easy process to navigate but we’d encourage every company with an innovative product to look overseas for growth, and utilise the support on offer from the DIT which has proved invaluable.”
